Repeat infringer policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
When a takedown notice is upheld, the clip is removed from the service and the account that made it receives a strike. The account holder is told by email and can reply with evidence that they hold the rights.
- First strike: the clip is removed and the account holder is warned.
- Second strike within twelve months: posting is suspended for 30 days.
- Third strike within twelve months: the account is terminated and cannot be reopened.
Uploading content with a false rights attestation, or using a campaign source list to clip a channel that has not authorised it, counts as a strike without a notice. Accounts created to get around a termination are closed.
